Well it's been 2 months, haven't pushed out for the big mission yet, but I am getting 2 days of R and R at the moment. We have been living in foxholes so that is crap, especially during the winter, during the stormy season.
Two Marines have fallen in combat, LCPL Smith and SGT Angus. During a patrol their squad was ambushed, I won't go into details. LCPL Smith was a friend of mine, always smiling, a great person. I didn't know SGT Angus very well but we talked regularly and he was a good man and father. 3 more Marines, all friends of mine where casualties as well, SGT Repsher, LCPL Page and LCPL Smazal. Smazal and Page are on their way back to the front lines, SGT Rep is at home safe and sound but pretty beat up, he's doing good though, sent us a letter. All great guys.
I can't say when the actuall push begins obviously, but it's going to be a helluva battle.
