Neurosis:

A Sun That Never Sets
The Eye of Every Storm
Neurosis & Jarboe
Times of Grace
Through Silver in Blood

Times of Grace/Through Silver In Blood (took me 30 listens at least to 'get' these, no shit 9.5/10)
Souls At Zero (Atomic Bomb of 1992 8.5/10)
The Eye of Every Storm (Very mystic, good desolate folky atmosphere 7.5/10)
A Sun That Never Sets (Cool but lacks tension. Nice metamorphosis though 7/10)
Enemy of the Sun (Apokalypse Noise etc.. almost impossible to fully absorb . Striking 7/10)
Neurosis & Jarboe (disappointing considering the casting , I'll probably buy it one day ..6.5/10)
Sovereign (unconsistent transition EP 6.5/10)
The World as Law (meh)
Pain of Mind (meeeeeeeeeh)

When I discovered this band I thought they were very experimental and that I could only enjoy bands that had been influenced by them but year after year I find myself rebrowsing their discography and falling in manlove with one of their albums . "Times of Grace" which is said to be the epitome of their heavy period did not grab me until lately.

Oh and also : http://youtube.com/watch?v=fmdmnnv2NkY&search=neurosis

Dave Edwarson is fucking SCARING!!

You didn't get the live EP either then? :dopey:

Meshuggah:

I
Chaosphere
Catch 33
Nothing
Destroy Erase Improve

wow you like I that much?

for me its-
Destroy.Erase.Improve
Nothing
Chaosphere
I
Catch 33
None
Contradictions Collapse

But I like all Meshuggah albums really, just depends on what im the mood for I guess.

The mood thing certainly applies to them, but yes, I think I is just flat out amazing. I think around the 8 minute mark when that hyperspeed thing adds along with the gutteral type riff is just... woof. Shit makes my head explode.

Yea I have to admit I think I was the Meshuggah album I was initially most floored by. I think Destroy Erase Improve has alot of nostalgia factor for me as well. First album I heard by them, maybe 6 or 7 years ago. I was listening to Slayer and Pantera, then Meshuggah came and I was like "wtf this is so heavy, I thought slayer was heavy! what time signature is that?! Sweden?!? Math Metal??!"
