I think its kind of silly for a band to have the entire intro to their website based on politics. To be honest Im completely sick of left-wingerers acting so righteous about this war. Theirs good arguments for both sides and only time will tell if its the right thing to do.
The band has always been very politically minded (go listen to the first two albums especially) so this is really nothing new for them. Plus art is a form of self expression, why not use their art as a form of protest, it's certainly more useful than these disruptive protests (there's a fine line between speaking your mind and simply being a disruptive hooligan).
Plus both sides can be accused of being self-righteous without knowing all the facts at hand...

Voicing an opinion on the current state of things hardly takes alot of courage, and if the basis of repecting someone or not is whether or not you agree with someones opinion, well, that's a rather flimsy reason for respecting/disrespecting someone, IMHO.

I love pain of salvation, one of my two favourite bands. But I disagree with Daniel. I haven't lost any respect for him at all, i just respectfully disagree.

I don´t care either way. When it comes liking or respecting a band that basis is on whether they make good music or not, not what their religious or political beliefs are.

POS has always been a band I loved. It is good to know Gildenlow & co share the same opinion as me on a very important matter. That is why I respect him more than ever! I always respected him as a great, versatile musician. But to see him coming out and speaking his mind without fearing that he may lose a few so-called fans doing so impressed me even further. It takes balls to speak your mind about some things, cause you're afraid of gaining enemies. Daniel is not. And for this, he gets my respect! Any more questions?
