Rev Jr. Pro: 50 or 20 watter?

As I know many of you have this amp I'd like to ask

I'm almost decided for the 50w I think -only a hundred bucks more- but, provided I have a 120w attenuator, what would be the best choice (for recording purposes) in between the two?

I've read Kranks can be extremely loud, so I find myself wondering if the 50 could perhaps not become as 'kranked' as the 20 in some situations.. or maybe the 20 cannot deliver enough push of air or whatever? (for a Mesa 2x12 atm)

Having owned the 20w, I would suggest getting the 50w. More headroom with the power section.
