I definitely liked the Diezel the best out of all those. I still don't think it's worth the $80 upgrade though.

It takes some serious cheek to disappear for 2 years and then re-emerge with a paid-for .5 update.
Revalver 3 technology is now 3 years old. No improvement through all the years. A shame. They did not do anything to improve it.
The diezel amp model is definitley a huge step back in modelling technology. Sounds really toyish.

I can confidently say that - from what I have heard - it sounds like complete arse. The diezel patch is the only one that was even remotely usable.

with onqel's 5150 sim coming soon..... this rev3.5 $80 upgrade is a joke. I'd rather donate to onqel and lepou's releases.

I can't fucking believe that... I was under the impression that the update would be totally free... 2 Years without any improvement/patch/whatever, and now they want 80 credits for... that thing...
Ok, I'm sorry, I'm.. was... a huge fan of revalver, and Michael, the guy behind the program, but this is bullshit, I'd rather send 80 dollars to Lepou than give a cent to Peavey for this...

This. The only thing I use revalver for is the 6505, I tried the 3.5 demo and the Diezel sounded super fizzy no matter what.

While I understand some frustration over support (or rather the lack of) Revalver has got over the years from Peavey etc, I actually don't think that this childish (yes, I really think so) bashing helps.
At first there are much worse amp/etc emulators than Revalver
. And there are different needs/players/guitars/etc. What I don't understand often that most of guitarists understand that different players like different guitars/amps/effects, this attitude doesn't translate into the virtual/emulation world. There has to be one to rule them all. It's especially strange if you think the possibilities you can combine different products. Does LePou amps replace all that Revalver has to offer? Does the fact that I don't like or even understand something makes it shit? And of course things are evolving. There will always be newer, better (for some applications at least) and different products. That's called evolution.
Just expectations have been really high regarding Revalver and Peavey didn't meet these expectations. Can we blame them for this? A little for sure, but lets not forget that it's about resources and money specifically. And there is also the world (especially if you think about world outside of your bedrooms) full of products with much worse support than Peavey has given to the Revalver for very same reason.
Also, ask guys who have done plugin development recently (there are Steven Slate and Kazrog in this forum) how hard it is nowadays. I sometimes wonder why someone would start this business at all - with all these different and often buggy OS'es/DAW's/etc.

Peavey seem to have completely squandered the opportunity they had when a few years back Revalver III was the talk of the town. They could have supported and evolved the product, cut ahead of the competition and capitalised on the good will of the users.
Now the entusiasm of those early customers is being rewarded with an $80 scalping.
Personally, I'm a big fan of Amplitube 3 right now, but if the developers asked for 80 quid for 3.5 I'd laugh myself hoarse and take my money elsewhere.

I will say this again, why pay for commercial amp sims when Lepou and Onqel stuff sounds 100000x better?
What can I say...Revalver, Amplitube and guitar rig totally missed the boat...period!

Highly debatable.
The Lepou and Onqel stuff is great but it cannot match the versatility of a package like Amplitube 3. For people that are into more than just Djent and Melo-Death it's essential to have a large variety of models with equal quality, which is what you get with the commercial packages.
I'll put it this way, my two most recent releases would not have been possible if i was to stick with the freeware rather than using Amplitube and Podfarm.
