ROB ROCK: What Would YOU Like to Know?

Just a Kid at Heart
Hey Y'all,

If our schedules coordinate, I should be speaking with Rob Rock this week.

Given his long career, working with some of the world's most notable musicians, there's a lot to talk about. And I have my extensive list of Qs to prove it.

But is there something you'd like to know? If you could ask Rob Rock one question, what would it be?

Bill

Does he get any flak for having overtly Christian themes or overtones in his lyrics?
I think that is a cool aspect of his music.

What happened to Rick Renstrom?

What was behind the split with Impelliterri? Screaming Symphony was a truly great record. The other stuff he did with them too, but SS especially....

How about, "Do you get pissed off when people mix up you and Bob Rock, or does it not even bother you anymore!?"

:)

Heh, no, seriously, questions I would have are: what does he think now of the Warrior album Code Of Life from 2000, and was he a member of the band at that time or just a hired gun? If he was a member, why did he leave? How did he link up with Tobias Sammet and wind up working with Avantasia?

Many thanks for your questions Sumeet, Halcyonwayband, The_Q, and Nailz!

Nailz, I'll be chatting with Elvenking in about two weeks. I'll post a new thread with a call for questions about that time. Feel free to toss out a few. I'll be speaking with Aydan, who e-mailed to say he's looking forward to "a great and funny interview." :)

There's a lot to talk about with Rob Rock. I'm really looking forward to chatting with him.

Cheers,

Bill

Here's my questions for him.

Q: How did the collaboration with Jake E Lee come about on two songs from the Rage of Creation disc?

Q: Does he think he'll ever work with Jake again?
