find it amusing that RAVEN is playing and stated that they don't know why this Stevie on metal sludge is throwing out lies about bands and where he's getting his info from.. just making shit up . but RAVEN is playing on Friday , and I'm looking forward to Ronny Munroes set playing some good ole METAL CHURCH!!!

Uh, hey guys, I understand people aren't happy with the changes, but I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't keep throwing out this whole "nobody but Raven is worth watching on Friday" shit. Burning Shadows is playing and they're great guys. Just because you don't know a band doesn't mean they aren't worth watching, and some of the guys from Burning Shadows come to this forum, so yeah. I know asking people to be nice on the internet is dumb, but there you go.

yeah....there literally is no one worth watching compared to who they had booked. Raven is incredible. I sampled many of the bands....literally there is no one else I would waste time watching. sorry. Bait and switch ruins it for everyone involved. Now the new bands look like lesser replacements. It sucks but that is how it is looked at by a lot of people. Almost like...well we lost this band and this band...but now we got all these bands no one has heard of and they will fill the ranks of all the name acts we had.
It sucks this all happened but doing damage control on this mess is not worth it.

I'll be real, I don't disagree with you - but on the other hand, the cold hard truth is that most people aren't going to pay money to see a band they've never heard of whatsoever - let alone the cost of a ticket for a big festival. That's not to say it's fair, but it's to say that's how it is, and those guys will have to earn the honor of people putting their hard earned money down to check them out, not be entitled to it.
This fest seems like the worst disaster since Rites Of Darkness III, and while nobody *wants* trainwrecks like these to happen, it's not the fans' fault for complaining or even wanting their money back.

Trust me, I'm not blaming people for complaining about the bands that were lost. I think what happened is really terrible. I'm just saying, try not to take it out on the bands that are playing. It's not their fault. They were invited to play and they came out. I don't think they deserve to be shit talked because someone else screwed up.
And I think people totally deserve to complain about what happened, especially ticket buyers. I hope everyone who wants one gets a full refund.

I completely understand your point, but you have to admit that the current lineup does not have a third of the appeal that the original lineup announced did. People have every right to complain because their feelings of being "cheated on" is 100% valid.

Absolutely. We've played with Burning Shadows before, and in fact, I booked them at my little show, Metal Quest. I really do get people's frustration. We were also screwed over on this deal. We were supposed to go on tour with Benedictum. We had shows booked. They had to cancel their entire tour because they were one of the bands that was promised transportation from Twisted Nail, so that screwed us over too. I had to go back to square one and re-schedule and re-book our tour from scratch without help from anyone after being promised this-and-that.
So yeah, I'm mad too. Believe me, it goes deeper than just me just defending my band. People shit talk my band all the time. I've gotten over it. But I will defend my friends because they stood by us, so I'm gonna do the same for them.
As for people complaining about the line-up change, I get it. I really do. And I hope everyone who wants one gets a refund. This wasn't fair to anyone, especially those who bought those expensive VIP tickets. I'd be raging if I were one of them.
