With almost an entire year until PPVII, what better way to ease the pain than Stratovarius and Into Eternity @ House of Blues. Both dusro and myself(rockyracoon) will be in attendance, so who else is going???

I'll be there with 3 of my friends. I'll be wearing my Episode t-shirt. :headbang:

I'll be going to the Cleveland show of IE/Strato, cuz my brother desperately needs to see these freaky Canadians! I've seen em three times already and he's getting jealous as hell! So make sure to spot me, punch me in the head, and I'll share a beer with y'all.

But we gotta make a Roll Call before the show to see just how many of us make it to that show. I wanted to make a flag for them some time... we can all sign it and give it to them! "Signed, the ProgPower Fans!"

I was at the NY show last night...

Let me tell you something... there were less people there than at ProgPower and the crowd's reaction was at least three times better than PP's crowd... Not to badmouth it or anything... I'm from Brazil and I'm used to the real fucking warm reactions from the crowd (Ya know, that thing you only get in Europe and South America, with fans going absolutely nuts over every single fucking line in every single song), jumping all the time, singing along... Well, last night's show (for the 1st time in a while) made me feel like I was at a concert back in Brazil.. Un-fucking-believable...

It would be amazing to see that reaction at every single one of the concerts... Guys, do your job!!

great to hear that. i hate when the crowd sucks and you feel really bad for a band who is trying their ass off to deliver an awesome show. disheartening to watch dvds from europe and whatnot, only to see crowds there putting US crowds to shame. if Strato and Into Eternity deliver, then i will deliver...

Not to bash on the scene here, but compared to the European one (not every country) and the South American, this is almost a joke. Did you get to see Edguy's DVD yet? Check out the live footage from Sao Paulo - Brazil to give you an idea... lol

One thing that it's common for crowds around the world to do, is jump up and down during the most "up tempo" songs. Orphaned Land did that at ProgPower with Norra El Norra. While that is something I am completely used to seeing in concerts (like back at home), it was the first time I EVER saw that happening at a metal concert here in the US.

so....no comments about the show last night? Although it was pretty much the same Strato show (if not exact), I enjoyed last night's much better than ProgPower. I think it may have been that I was not as tired/drunk...

Although everyone in Into Eternity can shred on their instruments individually, as a unit I couldn't stand 'em. Ditch the Cookie Monster growls and maybe they've got a shot. Otherwise, an awful pairing with Strato IMHO.

I heard from one of my friends at the show that Into Eternity sounded better than they did with Edguy (I had to miss that one...) What really sucked was that first band! Nice to meet (and be civil with) :D RR & Dusro, hope you guys liked the show! Strato kicked ass, and sounded great! :headbang:

Oh jeez I'm such a moron! I totally knew I should have read this thread sooner since I had it in the back of my mind to go to the Chicago show. Okay, well.. Bryan when's the Cleveland show?? I guess I'll be going to that one now :p
