Running Wilde...

The show is about the son of a bazillionaire, who is chasing after his hippie ex-girlfriend from his youth. Hard to really get a sense of the show from such a simple description. I'd say it's definitely worth a half hour to check it out.

As for the AD fans crapping on it... these folks are like Trekkies. There was almost no chance any show from the AD producers would live up to their expectations. I'd say, forget it's by the AD folks and just watch it as it should be watched, as a wholly different show.

There are some really, really good moments but, overall, I find it fairly boring. I almost took it off the ol DVR recording schedule but am going to give it a few more chances.
About to watch episode three tonight. I watched both of the first two episodes twice yesterday, once with my wife and then again during half time of the Charger game with my brothers. Turns out, there was a lot that I missed the first time through. I think all the actors are strong and it's got a ton of upside. That potential may never be fully realized, but I won't be shocked if the show is a homerun by season end.

will check this out online ... been watching Raising Hope ... pretty funny if you have toddlers and are into absurd stuff like granmas breastfeeding :loco:

otherwise Broadwalk Empire is the only other thing I watched and already bores me to tears with the predictability.

watched the Pilot ... not bad ... some funny bits. Another show about how a woman tries to change a man :loco:

the first episode was fantastic! ... probably because Scorsese directed it.

it was originally supposed to be a short mini-series but based on the strength of the First episode they extended it into a full blown 11 episode season.
and after the first episode's air date, greenlit a Second season.
