Saint Deamon

I don't hear all this "filler" people have mentioned...these songs are really good...some of the best stuff I've heard in a while...better than a lot of the recent Power Metal I've heard...

Sorry but out of the latest stack of promos/demos I've recieved, this one is down on the food chain for me. Yes it has great vocals but I find many of the songs kinda bland with decent chunks in between. As I stated I do like a couple songs very much but the rest of it isnt really "grabbing" me. Obviously I like some of it or I wouldnt have promoted it. My playlist from January 2nd 2008.

Circle II Circle - Revelations
Ari Koivunen - Our Beast
Jag Panzer - Legion Immortal
Stream - Same Ole Feelin
Sword - Stuck In Rock
Tall Stories - Wild On The Run
Superior - Truth Aint Kind
Headrush - Catch 22
Eternal Flight - Edge Of Fire
Icewind - Winter Heaven
Eden - Need Somebody
Sethian - Magdalene
Benedictum - Balls To The Wall
Avalon - Burning Souls
XYZ - Shake Down The Walls
Armory - Heart Of Dreams
Armory - The Eyes Of Time
Billionaires Boys Club - Voyeur Romance
Billionaires Boys Club - Something Wicked Comes
X-World / 5 - Cyber Christ
Circus Maximus - Wither
Breaking Silence - No One Cares
Leverage - Sentenced
Harmony - Remember
Sethian - Nothing Is True
Amaseffer - Slaves For Life
Leverage - Stormchild
Saint Deamon - My Judas
Saint Deamon - The Brave Never Bleeds

Manigance - Future World
Locomotive Breath - Kingdom Of Tragedy
Decoy - Call Of The Wild
Kamelot - Snow
Action - Without Your Love
Hurricane - Take Me In Your Arms

Tony Martin is a bad ass...I don't care what anyone says! One of my favorite discs is Black Sabbath's - The Eternal Idol.

Tony Martin is indeed badass! I love 'Cross Purposes' as well...

I hear ya...that's how Ride The Sky was with me...didn't grab me on the first few spins...but I persevered and now I really like it!

 Great playlist, BTW...

Can't wait for this one either. Thanks for the heads up Glenn. FYI: The drummer is from Dionysus, Ronny Milianowicz as said in a previous post.

Since I have a log in here I couldn´t resist :-)

For those who will BUY the album you will find out the absolutely greatness of mastermind Jens Bogrens production!
The best I ever was involved in!
He did Opeth, Symphony X, Katatonia, Hammerfall, Dionysus.
(If you download at least buy a t-shirt from the merch ok :-)

Enjoy and thanks for all your kind comments about the album!
It really warms our souls !

I had no clue about these guys until Claus turned me on to them. They play a melodic power metal for the most part with quite a bit of AOR influence. Jan-Thore (ex-Highland Glory) is the vocalist and he fucking rules my world at the moment.

Nice to see how the wheels turned in formulating your decision about a PPUSA replacement act, Glenn! You sure did your homework! Can't wait to see 'em play live in September!:kickass:

I've been diggin' the hell out of this release for the last couple of days. Overall, I think the band sounds closest to Nocturnal Rites, which is a good thing.

Has anyone else checked this out lately?

The album grew on me a lot. I loved Ronny in Dionysus, but found Saint Daemon less easier to get into on the first couple of listens.

Now I listen to it at work and love it!

Nice song Glenn!

You know, it's easy to get critical about anything...sure they're not particularly original and no they don't rock the foundations of my world - but you know, it's got those basic key elements that make rock/metal music enjoyable - it's melodic, good production, a nice atmosphere to the song, and an emotional intensity to the vocals that lifts the song to a level it wouldn't be at otherwise. It's a simple gut thing, it's enjoyable to listen to...
