Right, so im going to mix this band who recorded at a studio.. im just going to mix the music, and master it..

However, i work like this on my own projects, a samplerate of 44.100 and 24 bit..

The DVD with the WAV files coming my way, are recorded with a samplerate of 48.000 and 24 bit as well..

Will this cause problems? or is it just a simple fact of importing the WAV files, set my audiocard on 48.000 and set nuendo on 48.000 instead of the standard 44.100 i always use?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, you can just make a 48k session then when you're done mixing convert the mixes to 44.1.
It might sound a little different once converted to 44.1 though depending on how well the SRC you're using is.

Well, I guess the simplest way to test it would be:

1) Import all the stuff in 48 kHz form and then export into 44.1 kHz
2) Convert everything to 44.1 kHz form and then export normally

Don't change anything for the files for the test, and then

3) Compare the two exported files and listen which method changes the sound the least and use that

cheers guys,

so that would mean i have to convert all the given 48.000 KHz files to 44.100?? man, that would be a shitload of work, since i will be getting a DVD with WAV files of the drumkit, guitars, vocals, bass, etc.. there would be at least 10 songs to mix, so that would take hours.. is that really the way to go?

See, i was thinking, and correct me if im wrong here, but i was thinking of mixing everything in the 48.000 samplerate, and once the songs are done, and are mixed together, so i am left with 10 WAV files, to convert them then..

But im missing something here.. why would i convert 48.000 to 44.100 anyway? i know i work with 44.100, but why convert em?

Cheers again.
