Saturday nights alright....

Is everyone having a "nice" weekend??? It is rather chilly in the midwest, but that isn't dampening my spirits. If anything it is beckoning me to drink more whiskey Last night was pretty fun. Nothing amazing, but fun. I'm hoping tonite is as cool if not better. Does anyone have any cool plans? Did anyone do anything fun last night??? Let's get some life up in this piece

I'm on call today, so I've been stuck at work since 9 am this morning, until 9 am tomorrow morning. Fortunately, it hasn't been busy, as you can probably tell by the 50 posts I've left so far today (if anyone's bored, IM me on Yahoo Messenger...the handle is nafnikufesin, of course).

Unfortunately, it means any alcohol is out of the question today, which really sucks as there's a going away party for a friend about five blocks from the hospital tonight.

Just reading and more reading. Going to my mom's for dinner tonight, they have this thing about seeing my kid from time to time. Some grocery shopping, and we have to buy gas again too. I know, I know, what an exciting life I have...Don't be jealous.

I actually like that whole domesticated lifestyle (gives you a better since of purpose and keeps you grounded, bar hopping is perpetual limbo albeit witha smile on your face), but in the meantime: to quote the 1,000 or so people in the last Pantera home video: "Watch it go."

Well, it is 10:20pm I haven't been out this weekend or even had a drink . I can't wait to be paid on Monday

Yeah it's pretty cool but I feel really lame sometimes.

Monday paydays suck, I did that for a year and a half with my first office job. You can't party for shit, but you get all your bills paid!!

Then it's back to that "Going to work with a hangover" thread.

I got off of work at 4:30 last night, went straight to the bar,(My son's with mom for the weekend), had the all you can eat fish fry, and stayed and watched my buddies band till close. Did not get up till 1:00 today, watched the baseball game, and I plan on doing the same thing tonite. I tell ya, I love my son, but I gotta get out once in awhile for some "me" time. I do not want to sound selfish because I will do anything for him, but getting out with my friends is still a blast.

But you would get your bills paid on time. Actually though, I will tell you what, the advent of the MAC card has made life easy. I spent way more than I should, but all my bills are paid, and anytime I need $$$$$ I just run to the nearest MAC machine, which are everywhere.

Well, I've pretty much wasted my whole Saturday, and not a single patient has come into the emerg...I could have been drinking!!!!

Oh well, I guess I should try and catch some sleep...who knows who's going to be walking in in the middle of the night...

Shit...3 am and NOW the patients come in. Can I ask all of you a favor? If you are ever going to have an acute psychiatric emergency, could you please have it during normal working hours so your friendly neighboorhood psychiatrist can get some sleep?

Now I'm going to be cranky tomorrow...
