Totally agree! Love the suggestions, Boob and Creeps already listed
some of my absoute favs like Legions, Beyond The Doors Of The Dark, Warriors and Devastation. She's In Love is another one, there are just too many!!! GHOST IN THE RUINS is a nice overview of the early stuff IMO...

I know you want a best of from the different eras.. But It if it was up to me, it would all be from the Hall of the Mountain King foward! Every disc after HOTMK is awesome....

I can't a make a list... There are so many good songs! I'd include for sure: Gutter Ballet, Believe, Edge of Thorns, Follow Me, Sleep, Handful of Rain, CHANCE!!!, One Child, 12/24 Sarajevo, Not What you see, The Wake of Magellan and The Hourglass!

I don't necessarily agree with your split on eras as I would take it from Sirens through Streets personally. However, here are the cuts I would consider for a compliation:

I didn't reall listen to Savatage before HOTMK came out(and I'm from Tampa), but when I heard Strange Wings on the radio for the first time, I was hooked! Of course now I own anything Jon ever did. I don't know of any other band that I listen to more, have been around for this long, and stayed consistently this good. But these would be among my favorites
