Sorry I'm late with this review...

A buddy and I (I was wearing my HALFORD T-shirt) drove down from Milwaukee, WI (2 hours or so) and got to the venue at 9;45pm...We saw two of the support bands...Torn (which I thought was pretty good...the singer looked a bit like Jon Oliva of Savatage and had a good classic hard rock voice). The second band we saw was called Dedbird and they were average, at best (just my opinion). I didn't think they really fit with supporting Saxon....Anyhow on to Saxon...

There were approximately 150-200 ppl in Riley's...a nice little bar, which is right down the block from the casino, Hollywood, which we checked out at 2:00am after Saxon (but that's another story).

Saxon was great that! The only unfortunate event was that there were equipment problems that night (I think club related rather than band), and Saxon's set was cut short:(

My only question was, "why not remove one of the 3 support bands?"

Anyhow, Saxon hit the stage at approximately 11:15-11:30pm.

Started with Killing Ground (Biff sounded great) (rest not necessarily in order)
Dallas 1PM
Court of the Crimson King
Backs to the Wall
Power and the Glory
Coming Home
The Thin Red Line (thank u...I love this song!!!!)
Dragon's Lair (my fav off the album and sounded great LIVE)
Conquistador/Heavy Metal Thunder
Crusader
Wheels of Steel
Princess of the Night

I may have missed a song, but the band was great...

I really appreciate that Saxon takes the time to still tour the USA, even though the fan base is not as strong as in Europe.

Keep Rockin

For us "diehard" Saxon fans, it is much appreciated!!!
