I used to have some Saxon on tape and haven't converted them to CD yet but I did lose touch with them for a while. I'll be buying some soon so if you guys could list your top three Saxon albums, I'll have a good idea on where to start when I convert. I have heard Crusader, Destiny, Solid Ball Of Rock, and the one with Dallas 1PM on it. Thanks!

Start off with Heavy Metal Thunder. It is a double disc album they put out last year. The first disc is all of their classics re-recorded and they sound amazing. The second disc is an official bootleg of a San Antonio, Texas concert from 2002. Its really a great 2 disc set to own.

Disc 1
1. Heavy Metal Thunder
2. Strong Arm Of The Law
3. Power & The Glory
4. And The Bands Played On
5. Crusader
6. Dallas 1PM
7. Princess Of The Night
8. Wheels Of Steel
9. 747 (Strangers In The Night)
10. Motorcycle Man
11. Never Surrender
12. Denim & Leather
13. Backs To The Wall

Disc 2
1. Broken Heroes
2. Dragon's Lair
3. The Eagle Has Landed
4. 20,000 ft
5. Crusader

6. Killing Ground (Live video footage from Wacken Open Air 2001 - computer video)

I prefer their older stuff, everything up to Crusader.
My first album was Power And The Glory, and it would definitely be in my top three along with Strong Arm Of The Law and probably The Eagle Has Landed. I recommend all of these, as well as Wheels Of Steel & Denim And Leather.

Cheers!
