:lol: Nice try. Better men have tried and failed at trying to offend me, if you like Garm better than Vortex, fine. I like cake better than crackers. But from an outside the land of opinion standpoint, Simen beats Garm for one simple reason. He can sing live, very well in fact. The only video I have seen of Garm singing was an old Ulver track and it was GOD FUCKING AWFUL. Garm refuses to sing live, quoting some other bullshit that is just trying to hide the fact that he knows he couldn't pull it off, both his singing and growling. Brilliant studio musician, but he knows he can't do his job live well, fuck they even brought in a guy on an Arcturus tour to sing for him and he was a lot better imo. I like Garm, but in both Borknagar and Arcturus, I feel Simen is superior. I have no desire to make you change your opinion but at least admit to me Garm is a pussy, even Vintersorg has enough balls to ATTEMPT to sing his stuff live, it can get pretty shit but at least he tries.

Right. And the reason being it's painfully obvious without auto tuning, layering, and chorus Garm would sound like shit because he's a fat-fuck.

I don't really care about simen vs garm, so you really wasted a lot of typing time... I just fucking hate simen's voice. Sounds like someone trying out for an opera while a dick is shoved down their throat.

I enjoyed typing it actually so no time was wasted. And I could give a fuck less if you like his voice or not :lol:. I think Warrel Dane is an awful singer and fail miserably at those quirky vocals. To each their own. :rock:

Maybe so, but I've met and hung out with the man backstage, I've heard his voice and heard him sing drunkenly over a few beers. He sounded pretty much the same, that in itself proves he is a great singer to me. And to be honest, I really prefer his voice on live recording anyways, too much electronic shit is added to the studio recordings.

He sounded good because you wanted him to sound good. He may have been good, but no matter what he sounded like, he was going to be good to you. Pyschology!

Now, it might have been shagraths, but someone had the auto tune on big time.
