rachmaninoff is the only person who makes good music to me now. everything else sounds so insipid.

symphony no 2 and 3 are sublime and the theme in the final movement of symphony no 2 op 27 is the closest thing to divinity one can ever hope to conceive. piano concertos 1-4 = 0_0. the first time i heard op 18 1st movement i was stunned.
fuck everything else

Well, March 17th was my bday. And being the 20th one, i was not getting fucked up...I received some steinbeck books from my parents but my fiance got me "Wish You Were Here" on CD and I am Sooooooooo happy. awesomeness. So I am pretty much listening to that whole album over and over again. It has always been my favorite pink floyd. Dark Side is very close(if not tied) second, but Wish You Were Here will always have a special place for me, along with Medal of Honor Frontline(its what I did when I was 14) so I am listening to this on my BDAY!!! :

I mean...when I was 14...I got stoned as fuck, and played Medal Of Honor, and listened to my Wish You Were Here vinyl. I still have the record but not a record player and this is the first time in forever that I've hear the album start to finish in years. amazing.

I feel like I'm the only person who would say Atom Heart Mother is his/her favorite Pink Floyd album. The title track is so intense. I love the others, but I love the organic feel to the album compared to the later stuff. WYWH is definitely second though.

  I was so trashed last night. but anyway....starting today off with:

I've never checked Eternal Suffering out....but I am saving metal for tonight. I just got back from a very very intense bike ride that left me unable to listen to even old nevermore without feeling dizzy. But anyway, I'll be checking them out once I gain my equilibrium again.
