say something about ... yourself!

Don't get involved? My job at weddings is to drink, and drink heavily. And smoke a cigar.

I'll be involved, hands on, eventually. Right now, I'm in the house getting school work done and having to hear Mom and Dad getting annoyed at my sister and her father-in-law-to-be over crap that should be common sense to people.

Redeeming quality: I'm eating the left-over steak from last night and it smells delicious.

The weather here cannot make up it's mind. This morning it snowed, accumulated a bit on the ground, and by noon it was gone and pouring down rain with a windstorm. Then it got crystal clear and bright and sunny with lots of wind. Now it's really windy, the clouds are back and it's a rain/snow mix dumping down now. It's kinda cool to sit and watch it change before your eyes.

ehhh

a little tart/bitter/acidic, something

could be from all the chemicals that were on the orange hah

awww, darn. Wasn't supposed to be real bitter. Hmmm, try using less peel you don't need a whole lot in the beans just scattered. Dern. But who knows, it's strange when it turns out right. I got the idea from a local mom and pop grocery store that sold coffee beans like that. No white pithy parts right?

Oh and for dinner last night we had yummy top sirloin steak and potatoes, with broccoli. Well I had broccoli and taters. Alex just ate meat. LOL! I ate about my usual four oz of steak, and he had the rest of what was a mammoth ass package of steak.

Well I did put in a whole lot, I kept adding in more thinking "hmm IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER RIGHT?" I'll try it again with much less today.

I used half as many pieces of orange peel and it's a lot better, maybe even more orangy because it's not so strong and acidic.

Some of the strips had a tiny bit of white on them that I couldn't quite get off, and also when I dried them in the oven they almost started to be burnt because I thought the lowest temp on the oven knob was 150, but then I realized it was 175 after 30 minutes, and they were done. So maybe this is affecting the flavor, but probably not too much.

So now I need to try zesting the peel thinner, and drying more carefully, FOR SCIENCE
