I could have sworn I posted about this before, but apparently not. Maybe I only talked about it on IRC or something. Well, earlier this month Derick and I were about to head out one afternoon, and I noticed a brown furry lump way off in the grass at the side of our house. It got my attention because we hadn't seen one of our neighborhood dogs in a while so I thought maybe that was him sleeping in the grass.
Well, it was not, but it was another dog, what looked like a boxer/pit bull mix. When Derick started to walk towards it, it stood up, and we could clearly tell that it was not well. It could barely stand, and would then collapse back down onto the ground. We thought it was sick, and therefore didn't get any closer to it.
I called my mom, because a long time ago there was a boxer that would come by and visit, my dad had named him Freddie. My parents came home a few minutes later and confirmed it was not Freddie, either. The only thing to do was to call animal control, so my mom did so. We went along our way, and when we got back my mom told me that the animal control guy said the dog looked like it had been in a fight. We didn't get close enough to see any injuries it may have had, but I really thought the dog was a goner and that the dog pound would probably put him to sleep immediately.
Now to my point.

Awwww! Cawa, that is awesome! What are the odds of reading about him in the paper! I'm so glad you got an update on the pup! <3
