I just got a C-1 Elite with the gold hardware and orange flame maple top and shit.

Best guitar I've ever played, the neck is so perfectly contoured to my huge shredding apehands, and it's smoother than butter on a baby's ass.

I was looking at one of those when I got my C1 30th Anniversary. I'm still a little bit sad that I didn't just get both and use the Elite for some D tuned ass kicking. I guess the C1, C7 and 5 stringer bass are enough Schecter love for the moment though

Everyone's going ape-shit about ESPs/LTDs over here (especially the kids, due in part to big marketing push by them and their importer), so getting something that plays nice, looks good and not that many people use 'em is more than ok in my book. It's like we're in some secret Cult of Shecter..

Though I have to say that our lead guitarist prefers his Ibanez 7-stringer over the schecter for pure playing feel. He does like the Schecter, thinks it's miles ahead of the ESP Horizon II he had before, but he's more Jackson/Ibanez guy anyways...
