I hate buying guitars online. I have been unlucky so many goddamn times...
the last two I got were a Schecter Blackjack with the duncans in it, and an some hardtail 550 dollar Ibby.
The Ibby is the most whimpy sounding guitar I have heard in recent memory, and the Schecter isn't much better. I constantly struggle with guitar tones because of it.
Do yourself a favor and get into an actual guitar shop if you can, and play a bunch of guitars. It doesn't matter who makes it, where its made, or even really what pickups are in it or what wood it is made of. You dont even need to plug them in at first. Play them unplugged until you find one that sounds loud and heavy as fuck unplugged. The whole instrument should resonate. Thats your fucking guitar. Experiment with pickups later. The hard part is done.
