Screen-recording software!

Do you guys know of any GOOD software for this?

I REALLY like FRAPS, although it only records games or applications with DirectX or OpenGL, I think.

I want something to record fluidly, like fraps, but that isn't limited to games.
Got any input?

I've done a lot of searching and tried a few programs but they all seems to be really crappy in comparison to fraps.

I have tried a few programs in my time messing around with screenrecording.

What I have concluded:

Hypercam is shit.
ZD Soft Screen Recorder is OK for some stuff.

Ages since i've used them though.

My favorite now is Camtasia, it's really neat, you can edit the clips after to make them zoom in on a specific point of your choosing etc, check it out.

+1 for camtasia, worked on it for a long time here for a company on E-learning, great tool for fast workflows, you might try as well Adobe Captivate, great tool with great resources and choices.

I just recorded an 8:30 minute long video of a song being played back in Cubase.
The video/audio was smooth an in sync without any lags or anything. Everything sounded/looked perfect.

I rendered the video. Mind you, my resolution is 1680x1050, the video file was 25MB!
I was like "WOAH WUT"

Of course, the video/audio quality was compressed a bit, but the different in sound/visual quality wasn't large at all.
I was pretty amazed!
