Seattle show is now 18+

So... due to usual SLC airport fuckery (this time renovations and repairs, last time was a airline -> airport miscommunication), I had to be moved to a flight either a day in advance or a day prior... I chose the latter. So, who's gonna be in Seattle on that thursday night? Got a room at the Seatac holiday inn for that night, heh.

I might be able to make it in for Thursday... I'll talk to my boss about leavin' a bit early that day.

Man, I just looked into a flight to Seattle, and I was amazed to see
that all flights I could dig were 580-600$ and even 700 bucks!!!
I flew to London last year for 440$... I find it absurd that a flight to the SAME COUNTRY, SAME DISTANCE, (from DC-London that is) would be that much!
Will, where did you find your flight? and how much $$$ you payed, if you don't mind me asking?

I think a lot of the problem is that the prices go up in the last 2 weeks BIG TIME. Sometimes, though, certain flights will go back down to a normal price within the last week or so.

Another option, which is an option I used for one of the festivals earlier this year, was using Priceline.com's make your own price thing. I actually got a 400$ flight, for 220. problem with that is, you can't set the times of the flight that you would be taking, so you can get fucked in the ass easy, with a unmanagable, unrefundable, late nigth flight on the day of show. So next time I have to resort to that option, I'm gonna try to make sure I fly in a night early, since sometimes flights in SLC can get up to a good 700 bucks just to get to the other part of the midwest.

me and Laura are flying out of BWI, and it was 660ish a ticket

Its the time of year everyone flies, the ticket prices increased at least $100 per ticket starting in June, and thats just for the cheaper flights. You probably also chose to fly on a high traffic day. The best days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You probably also chose to fly in the morning. The best times are late at night. See how prices add up?

you people are bonkers. flying someplace for like a night or two and spending that kind of cabbage?

a low fraction will put you on a bender that lasts four times as long.

Music appeals to me more than alcohol. I view this as a chance to see some songs I've wanted to see for a while and probably won't get another chance. I also view this as a chance to hang out with people I'd only get to hang out with if I go to Seattle.

I rule. It only costs me about $35 in gas to get there, and $35 to get back. It's only about 240KM away. :P
