I'm quite curious what way to go to archive this kind of guitar tone.
It's sounds fappy, whoopy when the lower strings are hit. Don't know how to explain it. Anyone know the deal behind it ? String gauge, kind of amp ?

Thanks,

Menda

New strings, nice guitar, TONS of editing. Sounds like they played one note at a time to get the notes to sound perfect. Sounds WAY too edited for my flava but, whatever

sound kinda like those modern "djent" tone to me, like Periphery's guitar tone.

from what I've learn from forums, some key elements for this kind of tone
1. super tight playing
2. really tight and fast noise gate
3. Engl Ivader/Powerball amp
4. V30 loaded cabinets
5. Booster (maxon OD808 or similiar)
6. tune really low (anything lower than A#")
7. bass cut, mid boost the shit out, treble boost a little, suck the presence EQ setting
8. nice groove
9. heavy gauge strings, better tension = quicker, tighter the sound

I think the tone is fine, but the drums bug the shit out of me. They sound so programmed it's not funny

I can't believe the level of sound similarity bands like this one want to achieve, drums-wise especially! It's starting to sound like a better version of TR-808 - no feeling there, no human. A pity!
