Hi guys. This is my first thread ever here. Here's the deal:
I'm about to record an EP with my one-man black metal band and I need advice on the guitar sound. I already released a demo but right now I have written new songs which differ in arrangement and feel. I have a pretty crappy gear:
Marshall MG10CD (which gives of a really sucky sound when mic-ed),a Boss DS-1 and a Washburn WIN-14. I'm currently using Amplitube 3 (I have a full version with all the presets) for recording together with my Boss pedal and I can get some decent sounds (after EQ-ing of course). But I would like to get that Emperor-esque or even Deathspell Omega sound and I have no idea how to set it up. Note that I'm on a really tight budget.
