Sorry for the digression everyone but I must say this. Sepultura's Chaos AD is one of the very best albums ever made by anyone, ever!! I just put it on today after not listening to it for a while and it just blew me away (again/still):) !

OK, I'm done now.

Sepultura is a pretty fucking good band. I love Chaos AD but I must go with Winter frost on this one and go with Arise its better I think, I even forgot that I had Chaos AD, may have to listen to it....

besides the great drum work, anyone else think Roots is their worst album?

I used to LOVE Sepultura back in the early nineties; I bought "Beneath the Remains" and was absorbed, "Arise" and became a big fan, but then they got on this different direction.
While "Chaos A.D." still has many great moments, the albums after that one have gone steadily downhill.

I agree: Chaos AD is a fantastic album. I remember my old high school days when a guy brought it out and put it on during Theatre Studies. It was a fairly special moment.

I actually prefer Roots.... I think I fell in love with the overall feel of hate against the oppresive capitalist machine that is crushing the Amazon. I don't listen to it regularly or anything, but every now and then I'll put it on, sit back, and curse the white man (of which race I'm a member).
