Natural Born Killers

Is this movie any good?

I've always been pretty interested in them. Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy are my favorites.

As odd as it seems, I felt sad when I heard that Dahmer has been murdered in prison.

The subject interests me to a degree, but I have never done much more than watch some regular movies that use it as subject matter. Not even necessarily based on real killers.

I guess it's somewhat interesting as far as what kind of biological/social factors lead to such a deranged state of mind, the similarities/contrasts in their personalities, and the varying obsessions they have, but I don't pretend to "get off" on reading about or recalling the events to friends or strangers as I see so many supposedly "disturbed" people do. I tend to avoid conversations about such things in public since it's usually a bunch of clueless privileged kids giggling about the deaths of innocent people thinking themselves to be tough or "evil". So while I don't consider it a very fun subject, I do understand the interest in it to a certain extent. A true obsession with serial killers however is probably a little unhealthy.

I've been interested in Fish and a few others for a while, but I don't own books nor am I "obsessed", I just think they are interesting individuals.

I'm interested in psychology and related stuff and I do find the subject of serial killers rather interesting. I used to watch shows like Cold Case Files etc.

Metalheads interested in serial killers? No way.

Dahmer was just a misguided gay man, I felt bad for him.

Obviously all your reading on this subject has granted you real insight. Necrophilia, cannibalism, rape, torture, attempting to turn his victims into zombies by drilling holes in their heads and pouring acid in them, keeping severed heads and genitals as mementos and building a shrine of skulls and body parts, these are all the actions of someone who was merely "misguided".

I'll watch a documentary on some serial killer every now and then, if it's intriguingly narrated and presented (the last one I recall seeing was on Chikatillo), but other than that I don't actively seek out material on the subject.

What was the name of that Russian guy who killed like 30 people and had his mother cook them for him? It's even more interesting when more than one people are involved.

I am not interested in serial killers, nor do I have a 'favorite' serial killer, lol. I don't think their is anything fascinating in the mind of a serial killer. Most of the serial killers mentioned in this thread are small time serial killers anyway, who ended up being caught or giving themselves up.

Also there is nothing interesting about a serial killer who kills 2 or three prostitutes, seriously wtf.
