Serpents Kiss music video!!

Wasn't someone saying that symphony x filmed 2 music videos out there? 1 for StWoF and one for this. I was wondering jax/J-dub you have any info regarding the release of the StWoF Vid?

I talked with Russell at the Mokena show and YES, they did film TWO videos. Serpent's Kiss is the first to be released. Judging from most bands (and the dates of dropping singles, etc.) it'll be at least a month or two before we get the StWoF vid.

Rus said they had multiple directors pitching them concepts for the videos. For Serpent's Kiss, they really did not want to go with the whole Adam and Eve thing, but the director's idea was pretty cool and different (as we have now seen with the creepy, ridgeback baldies).

And, oh yeah, video rocks!

QUICK! HE WAS IN THE VIDEO, I SWEAR! Update: we are looking for a man, long hair, bass guitar, name of Mike LePond. If you see him, please let us know.

I think Rullo just became the star of the band. :)

Rullo (with the most suprising performance) looked awesome with that turtle neck thing lookin all "Sandra Bullocky" rockin the shit

Aside from Russ, Rullo had the most time in the video! That's cool, because at concerts you can never see him behind his sweet drum kit.

But yeah, my only gripe with the video is that it was in desperate need of more Lepond. They edited the song down minimally, which was good. I only remember two edited parts, and they both fit.

Great video!

I actually would've liked it in a warehouse. :D The video was very well done, I thought, but the camera moved around way too much and way too fast. I want to see the guys play man! I could see 'em for a split second and then it starts moving around more. So yeah, it was pretty good but the camera sucked. I would have liked it if you could see each guy playing a bit more.

The whole snake, apple, adam and eve thing sort of got to me a bit too. It was kind of annoying. I mean, it's cool that they try to make a concept and all but to me it's more about the music.

Agreed about the Russ snake interaction.

And lol @ "guitar lessons from 'uncle mike'"

no its not.... its called a music video...not an instructional video, its their for pure entertainement in the media, not to show people how they play...Cold hard truth !

That being said it rocks, the camera changes are like that because thats what flys in the media, and makes it look good. if it was an instructional video it would be very annoying...but its not there for, hurra!

Then I guess I don't like this type of "music video" or whatever you call it.

I've never really been into music videos because you get a headache from the camera-changes every second of the song but I still understand that it makes it work better as a music video. It feels more intense and all. I hope they don't mess with their upcoming (right?:)) live dvd because that would ruin the whole thing. I know Iron Maiden does it.. if you've watched Rock in Rio you know what I mean. Dream Theater is one band that has awesome dvd-production and editing. But this thread is just about the music video so I'll stop there.:goggly:
