I got lucky, scored one on craigslist for 1300.
I've dealt with rich before and he honestly has the best customer service out of any company I've dealt with hands down. I got my s5470 5 days after he got his namm order in, two months before it retailed. Awesome dude

I had a basswood RG 7-string with Evo/Air Norton combination, and I thought the Evo had way too much bass.

I've got a D-Activator X F-Spaced in my Alexi600 and it's far from terrible IMHO.

I had to make a bunch of adjustments to my settings because it is indeed quite a bit darker, but that thing has really tight low-mids and a beautiful growl. Really smoothes out the fizzy highs of my 5150.

The theory of active pickups bugs me a little. To me, it alters the sound so much that it dosent seem like a guitar signal. Listen to an emg di compared to a passive di. Ridiculously insane difference. I like how emg's sound, but i grew up on van halen. I need the screaming high output dip your Sqwaking ass pickup in wax so it's usable sound. Haha
