Who here is with me on this one. They are the new Dreamscape of this festival in my opinion. They brought it not only on Friday, but also on Saturday afternoon with another incredible set that included a few acoustic tracks that blew me away:Smokin:

The Dreamscape reference was meant for Shane to take note since he brought Dreamscape back to the Showcase after their initial appearance on the main stage years ago. I think he heard me between songs on Saturday when I put in my plug for next years Showcase Headliner; and many of the 200 plus there for the show concurred.

Great show guys and I can only hope Shane brings you guys back for the Showcase; maybe a 3/4 full blown out set with a 1/4 acoustic; that would be sick. I can only imagine that these boys made some new fans over the weekend after their performances; absolutely superb!

Not only did they deliver two totally awesome sets (and to be honost, I actually enjoyed the Loft set more than the one on the main stage!), they were just great, all-around-guys. I've spent much time hanging out with them. I was a big fan of Seventh Wonder going into this, but WOW!!! Damn - now if they can just get that new album out!!!

Here's a cool Seventh Wonder coincidence that I caught on the plane home today.

Seventh Wonder gave their debut USA performance on Friday September 10, 2010.

This headline appeared on the front page of the Chicago Tribune, one of the major newspapers in the US, on Friday September 10, 2010:

Awesome.

I totally agree with what's above.. Pals have been telling me about them for awhile and I just hadn't gotten around to checkin' them out.. Saw the set Friday and got my butt up and over to the venue after about 3 hours of sleep to see the Saturday morning set.. I was bummed there were no CDs but I'll be buying them wherever I can find 'em in the next 24 hours online..

Their music is phenominal and they are just AWESOME guys - I had the best time hanging out with them!!! Please let's get 'em back!!!!

*I* was surprised at the reception they got. I figured there'd be a handful of fanboys (Kez) and then a couple hundred other people standing there and vaguely bobbing their heads as they often do with the first few bands, but noooo, the whole FLOOR was into it! That was pretty freakin' awesome. And they rank very highly among the super-nice people I've met in many years of ProgPower, Powermad, BWBK, etc.

I think the band was surprised at the reception they got. But they totally earned it with their performance, and being super nice guys just made it even better. It was great hanging out with them, and I really hope they get asked back.

I was hopeful before the fest that they would be this year's surprise/sleeper, and they more than exceeded any expectations I had. I was dead front and center singing every word with Swordlord and just soaking in every minute of their set Friday. Saturday was even more amazing having the new interpretations of three songs acoustically (and yes, they brought me to tears AGAIN with "Tears for a Father".) The band is just phenomenal all around and I hope this is the springboard for them taking them to bigger better things as far as touring in the U.S. is concerned. They are truly humble and deserving guys of much success in the future and I hope they are on the short list for a return appearance to ProgPowerUSA!

I'm surprised Swordlord hasn't chimed in yet... where are you, Nathan? (my guess is sleeping, like I should be!)

Edit: I was composing while Dragongrrrl posted, and the band was DEFINITELY surprised at the reaction they got. It was visible on their faces on Friday, and I asked both Tommy and Andreas this very question on Saturday. They had no idea they would receive the reaction they got, and their dream of playing in the United States in reality was even better than they imagined it could be.

IMO, best band of the festival! Friday night was utterly amazing and Saturday was an intimate performance that was so rare, it is barely possible to imagine it. Everyone who was there on Saturday knows what I'm talking about. The band was fantastic both on stage and off stage -- after Saturday's performance, they came out almost immediately and signed autographs and took pictures with fans. It's rare, even at ProgPower, that a band takes so much time to interact with their fans. I was a Seventh Wonder fanboy before the weekend, I guess I have elevated to psychotic-stalker fan at this point!

I agree with everything that was posted above. The Saturday performance inparticular was probably my number one favorite moment of all the 4 ProgPower's that I've attended. The fact that they are down to earth, super humble, great guys makes it even more special. Thankfully I was lucky enough to pickup their first two CDs before they sold out (already had Mercy Falls).

I have been promoting Seventh Wonder to everyone with a pair of ears for over a year now, and now I have the conviction to what I've been sayin' all this time. Both the main stage and loft sets were more than fantastic. Superbly executed, well recieved. I was up front / center for both, and aside from not hearing EVERY song I wanted to, got exactly what I hoped for.

While there were a handful of bands I wanted to see this year, SW was the main draw for me. Mercy Falls elevated itself very high on my all time favs list, and the band was great live.

Having only started listening to the band after the announcement last year. I was stoked to see them play and they did not disappoint, as mentioned above I think I'm a bigger fan now then before.

I totally agree with the "surprise/sleeper band of the festival" comments. I went in not knowing a lot about SW, and after their set I ran over to buy a shirt. Plus, the band were very cool to talk to, and Johnny was a riot!
