I need some advice on a mix I'm currently working on. It's my brother's band.
They gave me only raw tracks recorded at a home studio.
Kick and snare are triggered - I used SD 2.0 with MF on these.
Guitars were recorded with SM57 and an Oktava condenser mic - don't know anything about amp and cab. I don't have clean tracks for reamping.
Bass is processed using Ampeg SVX.
I did a cheap vst mastering, but the band is going to do it somewhere else.
Let me know what you think about the mix. I would love to hear some advice on how I could improve it. I'm sure there are lots of things that can make it better.
