Should I shave my beard?

Hi guys!

This is the first time I grow a beard. It's been 6 months since I started. In the beginning I've been very enthusiastic but it turned out that my beard is pretty curly and not as I wanted it to be. So I don't like it so much now and I'm wondering what to do. Also my parent and most of my friends are always persuading me to shave. Here are some pics:

Trim it close and keep some scruff and then grow out your actual hair a bit.

Trim it to 1-2 cm.

I trim mine (almost never shave) to about 1 milimeter about every week or so - it is a nice compromise between laziness, keeping the skin young (shaving destroys it) and still looking attractive to the opposite sex.

Trim it, or braid it. I think you look better with facial hair though.

If you keep your beard trimmed you might get a look similar to this picture here, considering your head shape is very similar to his:

Changing your haircut would greatly improve your look while a short and nicely groomed beard in combination would further enhance it. Just try changing some things around and combining different hairstyles with beards until you find something that you think is right for your person.

The options are endless, there are no rules!

clean shaven around my beard, shaving every morning and it helped alot, if you know what I mean
-so cut it short but keep it clean.

Haha yeah, well i mean, people in general, you aren´t asking everyone in you daily life about your beard do you? i do have a beard, and people are always telling me to cut it off. why, i would do that? i don´t want to, haha.

Thanks for the replies! Yeah I will probably try to trim it shorter. But one think that I don't like when it's shorter is that it doesn't look so tick, especially on the cheeks. For my actual hair - I had a bit longer hair before some time, but I like myself more with the short hair.

The 2 month pic is the best looking imo. Usually long beards don't look good with short hair
