Should Mexican Immigrants Be Allowed Into The U.S Freely

I say HELL NO!!!! That'd be a direct slap in the face to everyone trying to come here LEGALLY.

Hey, great point, I haven't read through some of these recent posts so I don't know if it's been mentioned yet. Letting illegals become citizens freely is completely unfair to all the immigrants who are doing it the right way and paying for it.

He means first generation immigrants obviously.

Being fair is not always pragmatic.

Some of us have already said in some of these posts that the current illegals should pay back taxes and fines on the road to legal immigration if they comply... a 1 time thing...

Krig spouting brainless verbal diarrhea in a political discussion? My god, what is this world coming to?

At least something that's nice about the US is that we've come to expect significant amounts of diversity in our cities and towns. Racial integration was such a struggle, but we're not doing too bad.

I'm sure Europe will have lots and lots of fun with these issues (immigration and racism) over the next few decades while the US actually becomes one of the least discriminatory places to live.

Numerous people on this site (whom you should know by now) go on and on about the wealth of ethnic cultures in Europe and how wonderful it all is, but it's going to change very soon. What the USA was to South America in the past two decades is what Europe will be to the Middle East and Asia in the next few.

Seriously, have fun with diversity.

It should be mandatory to learn English to gain citizenship. If one can not gain citizenship within 2 years they should be deported. The US doesn't have an official language which is BS. There needs to be some sort of governing force that makes immigration possible, but much more controlled than it is. What's super fucked up is that illegal immigrants are taking jobs from American citizens, I see it all the time in Florida.

Why is not having an official language BS?

There needs to be a way for everyone within the country to verbally communicate, it's just that simple.

I've seen people spend 4 months learning English in their country before coming here & speaking English pretty damn well by the time they get here. 2-3 years is long enough to get a good enough grasp to where they can communicate.
