Shure SM-7...

I can't take credit for that. My good friend Steve Chiasson provided the vocals for that track. He's got a great big deep voice that I thought would be perfect for a little joke track. ...It was "Simpsons Inspired" from the episode where Bart got a radio microphone... "Rod, Tod, this is God..."

Can someone do a comparison of the SM7 versus the transformerless SM57 that everyone keeps blabbering about over at TapeOp and the cheap recording forums?

Must be Malmonde I guess. Well yeah I used 3 different kick sounds blended together : one from DKFH, Kick3 I think, one very clicky I got I don't even know where - sounds shitty on it's own, and I don't remember the third one to be honest... Ask Daunt from the forum, I sent him the samples back then, maybe he remembers them better than me, lol :)

$348 from Vintage King audio in Detroit. I walked into this place on Thursday and my jaw hit the floor. Just racks & racks & racks of re-conditioned Neve, API, DBX 160's, & pretty much the finest gear ever built. Blew my mind.
They've got all kinds of top-of-the-heap new stuff as well... I was checking out the new preamps from Shadow Hills... very intriguing. The nice thing is, the people working there know what they're selling. The stupid thing is, it's about 30 minutes away from where I live & I've never checked it out before. Kinda makes Guitar Center look like a dollar store.
