i'm sure tool fans have already checked this guy out, but no one mentioned how the new video focuses on the artwork of alex grey (who obviously did the artwork for lateralus). i heard about this guy right before lateralus came out from my art teacher, who lent me his book "sacred mirrors: the visionary art of alex grey". i liked it so much i went out and bought my own copy.
then lateralus comes out a couple weeks later and i find out he produced the artwork, which kicked ass. then, now i watch the parabola video and watch with awe in the end where the character goes through the sequence of the "sacred mirrors."
even if you don't like tool, or if you just haven't checked out alex grey, check out the stuff on his sight. he is an amazing artist, not to mention his philosophies, visions, and where he gets his inspiration just kicks ass. tool is right when they say he's one of the most important contemporary artists.
