Slate Trigger issue

Maybe I'm being a n00b here, but I never ran into this problem with Drumagog so I'm a little stumped...

I'm getting misplaced "echos/phantoms" snare hits. They pop up after I stop the track, and even during breaks where the drums aren't being played. Usually 2 or 3 unwanted hits just after the snare has been played. It's driving me bat shit.

Have you got an Aux send from the snare accidentally hitting a delay??

sounds like the sort of thing I'd do, and spend ages wondering WTF was going on!!
