Slayer!

Sorry mate. But even if the vocals were great it still would not be the best metal album ever. I can think of numerous albums off the top of my head that are better: Hammerheart, Don't Break the Oath, Ride the Lightning, Hell Awaits, etc. etc.
Nope, DMDS is the best album ever. Hammerheart holds the best song ever but DMDS is the better album. I might even think Melissa is better than don't break the Oath, Ride the Lightning holds the other best song ever, Hell Awaits is the best Slayer, but DMDS is the very best album ever, and Nattens Madrigal is second. Beyond that I don't know the order so don't ask. Blood Fire Death is the best Bathory album, or maybe Blood on Ice. Bathory is ther best band ever.

Well thank you for that scientific rebuttal. I shall amend my ways accordingly.
Anyway I think you are right about Melissa, it may be slightly better than DBTO. As far as Bathory I've always felt that Hammerheart was their strongest release. Though "A Fine Day to Die" may be their best song.

dmds > hell awaits > hammerheart.

its pretty elite company, but thats just how it is. sorry.

Well if being in elite company means calling an album with vocals that sound like a retard singing in the shower the greatest album ever then count me out.

You're welcome.

A Fine Day to Die is probably the second best Bathory song, yup.

CV: No foad kthx
Nattens Madrigal IS better than Bergtatt, I won't bother explaining how or why but it feels like a pack of wolves is coming after you in the fullmoonlit woods in the dead of winter and omg they're getting closer and raaargh they got you no noooo nooo urghh dead AT THE SAME TIME as it's a beautiful tale of dark romanticism and lycanthropic tendencies in man.
