IS SLAYER WASHED UP?

sweeeeeeeeeeet

that song kicks ass

I've been watching slayer live DVD (reign in blood: still reigning) - these guys are PHENOMENAL live

Whoops. Nevermind, they are going to be playing two new songs afterall ("Jihad" and "Eyes of the Insane"), according to Metal-Rules. com and Blabbermouth.net.... the first time blabbermouth posted this story, they said one of the two songs was gonna be "mandatory suicide"... so much for their reliability once again. No point in watching now... :Smug:

Yes I still listen to Slayer and no they are not washed up. Their new album is good. It's classic Slayer with a tad more variety in it. I don't quite undestand why so many Slayer fans dismiss it as crap.

-recycled riffs
-fake psuedo satanic blasphemy
-very dull uninspired overall performance compared to their glory days

it's still light years ahead of their previous 2 albums and still not a terrible album

show no mercy - 93%
hell awaits - 88%
Reign in blood - 100%
South of heaven - 100%
Seasons in the abyss - 90%
divine intervention - 78%
diabolus in musica - 20%
god hates us all - 30%
christ illusion - 60%

that would be my assessment of slayer's career

Anyone else catch their performance on Jimmy Kimmel last night? I sat through 10 minutes of commercials just so the damn producers could cut Slayer off just after they started their second song. The first song was good though.
