Just saw the band on Mikes new playlist and read that it's a project by him and Jonas from Katatonia.
So, has anyone more information about Slo Train Co?

i didin't know that... it should be cool, but i'm not so sure.... maybe mikael can give us more information in regards to this?

I think he only takes part in discussions that get out of hand... try comparing him with Jesus, maybe he'll post something... (cheers Mike, love ya! :D )

No. - I got a LP from Mike (ebay) and he hasn't signed it. (I wrote him before he sent it away if it would be possible to sign it) ...Jesus would have signed it.
So I don't compare Mike with Jesus anymore...probably again, if he'll write some infos about Slo Train Co.

That's the question, this thread is about.

Um, well if that's what you meant, why don't you try editing your original post until that's what your sentence implies? Because currently, you don't pose that question directly. So don't get sarcastic at me.

taken from UM interview around viva emptiness times:

UM: What's going on with the Slow Train Co. project? Is that something you'll ever consider recording an album for, or has the project been scrapped.?

JR
: Uh, it's not been scrapped because it's never really existed. But it's been me and Mikael from Opeth, just recording loads and loads of songs. Stupid songs, you know, on a small home recording studio I have. We tried to do something like folk/country music, having a few beers and then playing for fun. Actually some of the songs winded up being really good, and some of them are really hilarious. So I don't consider it really a real band, but it's been fun. So I have a lot of recordings at home that I listen through with Mikael and we have a good laugh.

UM: So it sounds like you guys are really good friends both in and out of the music business then.

JR
: Oh yeah yeah yeah. I consider him to be my best friend.

Yes, thanks for that info. :)
When Jonas said "weird" and "folk", first band comes to my mind is Comus.
Damn, I'd like to hear Mike and Jonas playing Comus or that kind of music. :)
