SmartAV interfaces... ??

Did you know these interfaces ? They seem awesome, there are no indication of price so I guess they're quite expensive. I love the ergonomy they seem to offer, some key features are proposed and that just seem awesome.

They're highly regarded especially in the post prod business, but stupidly expensive. The 24 fader Smart Console is about $120k and the 8 fader version about $45k.

Yeah I just found the price for the Tango : it's around 8k€ in europe. I found one for 2800 used in france, so it seems it can be found even if it's rare.

I understand these are stupidly expensive, but I clearly understand they still are worth it because their ergonomy is beyond imagination. Literally : until today, I didn't know it was possible to get that far (seriously, to group tracks, you push "group", you touch the tracks with your finger, done.)

We had a smart AV Control Surface (24 fader iirc) on demo where i used to work,
cost a fukin fortune and it still didnt work,
they were writing the os/software still after we had got it in, and we had one of the guys writing and debugging on our unit while it was on display,
made me wonder if they actually had one themselves at the time cos they flew a guy over to the UK from Oz to pretty much live in our demo room lol

The general feel of the build was very nice and high quality, much like the photos on their site suggest but it just didnt work very well, that was back in about 2004/2005 so they may have got their act together by now.

I think yes, I have contacted out of curiosity the man who is selling one right here and told me he was selling it to buy a "smart" because he found the Tango cool.
