Snare sample for you!!!

Hello,

I thought i share a snare sample from my last session. I dont remember which snare it was but it is miced with a Audiotechnica ATm450 on snare and toms, Oktava mk-012 on OH, and Peluso 2247LE on mono room.

I can recommend you to do a stereo sample of it, if mixed right you can get a small stereo ambience effect from the tom microphones, and a good snap and mids from the OH.

Have you got any pics of the setup? The room mic sounds really nice, where's it placed?

Perhaps because it is a 2500$ microphone going through a 8000$ pre , just kidding haha
No pictures unfortunately. But it is placed about 1 1/2 meter from the snare. I always try to point it straight to the snare (so half a meter from the kick, between the first tom and hihat) so the snare peaks 3-4db above all other bleed.

I did a 4 track EP with em, all great songs. And they are releasing a much delayed CD about the same time, which i haven't heard but quality wise it isn't as good as my production i can assure you

Just wondering, what synth did you use that plays along with the guitars? It comes in at 0:35.

Thanks!! It was a synth from a Korg synth, don't remember which model but it wasn't a Triton. Did sound quite cool going in the DAW, but i beefed it up in PT with stereo enhancer and some effects
