If you don't fall into the "Manowar is gay and the more I hate them the cooler I am mantra," some of their stuff is good. It's over the top, loud and powerful and people just love to hate the band. I'm not ashamed to admit I own about half their albums.

Lol, that's what I've heard "Manowar is gay" but I've never heard anyone say anything about their music I don't think.

I don't know for sure but the gay thing seems to have come from the number of topless photo shoots they did in the 80's and just carried forward. I don't really know what gay music is but there is still some go to Manowar albums in my collection and I don't feel gay.
