You should export it all to a TXT file and then you could open it separately whenever you want to without worrying what iTunes does

No, if you're using it to search for song names for this game you keep it on whatever device you are on when on the forum. I have a file on my machine that is a listing of my music directory/folder it shows band>album>track just like it would if I was looking at the hard drive contents only this is easier to read and searchable. Takes about 20 seconds to create (in Winblows) and just needs updating if you add or remove files.
