The Artrock-interview Andreas posted in the 'Interview Thread for TGE' has two subjects that may interest you.
I'm not sure everyone is using the Google-translator to read the interviews, so I thought I post these two very interesting subjects here as well (I made some adjustments here and there to make it more readable).
The first one is about the cover of TGE:
"It's Johan Larson who has worked out everything, but Tommy was a sounding board and supported him a lot and I also contributed to some extent as a discussion partner, but it is clear that the artwork is Johan's vision. The link to 'The Great Escape' is a little complex but it's there. What we agreed from the start was that although the title song is about a space adventure we did not want the artwork to reflect that. You could say that where the Great Escape has one meaning in the title song, it has a different meaning as the title of the album, a bit more universal and timeless, but also very topical. You could see it as being part of the interpretation that also appears in the openingsong 'Wiseman', which apparently is about pollution and that we humans are destroying the earth and thus the real "danger", and that our "life blood" is about to end; perhaps a bit like blood-red sand that comes out of an hourglass ..."
I thought this was a very interesting point of view.
The second one is about finding a new drummer, a subject I'm sure a lot of people are curious about:
"We have not completed the application process yet. We have received some interesting applications and expect to sit down with them around the new year and start testing some people a little more carefully. We keep our fingers crossed for us to find a good guy!"
Well, so do we!!
