So guys, how about playing Revelation (M.E.) at Day of the Equinox?

Hahaha.....honestly, that song was rehearsed a couple of times, recorded, and then never played again. In fact, the only member of the band from that recording lineup left is Paul!! It was something the band was asked to participate in by a close friend who put that compilation together, and that's pretty much the only reason it was done. At this point we have five full albums worth of original material to choose from and that makes it hard enough when we only have 40 minutes to play hehe.

Heh, funny how everyone acts like I'm some bizarre mutant or a wuss because I don't drink alcohol, as if it means something if you do LOL I have my personal reasons why I don't drink alcohol. I don't begrudge people who do drink, I'm not straight edge or anything. I used to drink, and now I don't, and I don't miss it one bit, thank you :)

That's cool, man. I was just curious. There are definite benefits in abstaining from alcohol: $$$$$$$$. Oh yeah, health and shit. :D

wuss!

"Silent Tomorrow"? Bah humbug.

Will Bozarth, you can drink sodas with me then, I don't drink alcohol anyhow!

Awesome :) Last time I drank (itll probably the last time, too), it was in Tijuana, and I almost died. Threw up all over the place... while i was asleep. didnt realize until i woke up the next morning. so, Pepsi for me!

We're a very lame metal band when it comes to substance abuse. No one in the band smokes, and no one really drinks heavily at all. If I'm out drinking, I'll have 3 or 4 drinks all night, tops. For me, it's more medical reasons then anything else. Pain killers and alcohol shouldn't be mixed, and the amount of pills I shovel in on a daily basis is already not at all healthy.

Hahaha. Straight Edge! Now that's a term I haven't heard in quite some while.
I remember the Evanston Straight Edge crew who used to come to punk shows wearing their varsity style jackets with the "X" mark on their hands

Hardcore begins and ends with 7 Seconds.
Perfect mix of agression and melody.

Hey Vito - Long time no post for you. You better be keeping Niles in order!
Make my old stomping grounds proud!! I was actually at Golf Mill yesterday.

It's cool, I wasn't saying anyone here was being an ass towards me about the drinking thing, it's just that I hear it all the time, people acting like I'm so fucking odd because I don't drink. I have nothing against drinking except that most people do it in excess. Anything done in excess is almost always a bad thing, y'know? I've had two of my very best friends die due to alcohol related issues. And sadly they probably won't be the last. I was never a real hardcore drinker but I had my fair share of partying when I was younger. When I hit my mid-twenties alot of different things occurred that affected my decision to stop drinking, medical issues being one major factor. (Paul unfortunately is not the only one in the band that has some ongoing medical problems to deal with.) Drinking is very risky for me and frankly it's not worth the risk. However I can't always explain this to everyone every time someone offers me a drink, and it just gets tedious having to deal with the attitudes I get from some people.

For those rare few people out there who don't drink but actually enjoy the taste of beers and not just the drunk sensation, there's some really good non-alcoholic beers out there nowadays. Kaliber is my favorite, it's non-alcoholic Guinness, and it's really good. Guinness was my drink of choice "back in the day", and frankly I rarely ever got drunk off of it anyhow, because it's so filling that I couldn't drink that many of them at one time anyhow! But I loved the taste of it and still do, so Kaliber is a nice option.

But usually, if you see me out at a gig or bar, buying me a sprite mixed with cranberry juice is a very welcome treat, so keep that in mind!
