A couple of the bands on that bill are also playing ProgPower Europe a couple weeks earlier, though they don't quite fit the PPUSA bill imo.

Day of the Equinox is in Toronto on October 14-- the headliner is Green Carnation making their 'exclusive' North American appearance, with the bill being rounded out by November's Doom, Woods of Ypres, Unexpect, Agalloch, and Deceased. Apparently a co-headliner is still to be announced.

Anyway, looking forward to this fest a month after ProgPower...

Ummmm...... They're a month late for the equinox. :D

Damn, Green Carnation on this side of the Pond. Damn, damn, damn.

With luck, I'll be a brand-new first-time homeowner by then, with all of the bills and stress that entails, so I probably shouldn't EVEN begin looking at airfare and tickets........ Aw, hell. :)

Here's the site: http://www.dayoftheequinox.com/main.html

Airfare is running around $400 direct from Atlanta-- maybe a bit cheaper with one stop....

I am thinking of going to Toronto to see a friend of mine play.... have you ever been there? is it cool for sightseeing?

I have not been to Toronto yet. It sounds like there's a lot to do-- kind of the "Chicago" of Canada...

Check out the Braveboard on the BWBK website-- many Toronto folks post there, including the promoter of the show and so on.

well, i hope to find some poor soul to go with me if i go and see my friend...i am going to use my sky miles etc.... :)
