I've noticed myself that the inner sleeves were a bit weak, especially that the 180g vinyl can tear right through them with ease if not handled properly... A few of them happened this way via the Diabolical Masquerade release, but I didn't take notice too much really, but then I realized when it was all said n' done that I should have printed much thicker inner sleeves (which will happen from now on!) and feared that such shit can occur. I realized this when I got a vinyl from Nuclear War Now (where he does the vinyl the same place I do) and the label dude told me that he had to print very thick inner sleeves because of such shit happening, then that's when I realized... so from now on, inner sleeves from my releases will be done in the thickest paper possible... although there were no such problems from my recalling of the Leviathan double LP and the Xasthur/Leviathan split, in which their inner sleeves were designed as well...
As for the jackets, yeah, I'm somewhat dissappointed in the actual double gatefold sleeve of these, admittedly GZ doesn't do the nicest looking sleeves, but for the Pale Folklore LP, I found a place where they do the best gatefold vinyl jackets ever and plan on doing this through them, and get the vinyl from GZ Media in the Czech Republic seperately...
So I have yet to be 100% satisfied with the outcome of one of my releases (presentation wise), but I guess it's a neverending learning process...
thanks for understanding...
And oh yeah, fuck UPS up their mother fucking asses... if I had a nickel for every time this company has tried to unceremoniously rape me to no end, I'd be able to out-buy Century Media... I swear when I got my shipment of the Agalloch LP's the boxes looked like they were thrown through a mine field... I had to pay $175 brokerage fee that I shouldn't have even paid... the reason why I paid it was because of a mistake on their end, the guy who does my vinyl submitted the correct fee (which should be around $40) for me to pay a full day before the lockout deadline for UPS to recieve these claims (and we have solid proof that the correction claim was sent and faxed a day before the deadline). But they claimed they didn't recieve it, even though we did everything we needed to do on our end and had solid proof that we did our part in proper accordance... obviously it was pure ignorace on their asses that they didn't recieve our proper claim as they should have...
UPS must die a slow and painful death...
