I'm listening to this album now. I'm a couple songs in, and I'm pretty bored to be honest. Sure they are good musicians, sure they having some interesting sections, but the songs just don't catch my attention at all.

And just a PS - I really wanted to like this album. I've seen BTBAM live and they impressed me... but TGM doesn't.

The first listen through it wasn't as good, but had it's awesome moments. I've found that after each listen through as a whole, I see more of the genius in it. I absolutely love it. I'm confident in it being better than colors now.

Keep in mind that if you were looking for heavier, it's not here. Perhaps that's why some of you guys aren't digging it.

The whole genre is essentially built around guitarists having dick waving competitions.

BTBAM is just the logical extension of such wankery.

It's better than colors, I'll give em that. Just still not "absolutely amazing best metal album evaarrrrrrr" good like some people are saying. And I have no problem with non-heavy albums. I listen to just about every kind of metal....

on first listen, i'm preferring colors just for some of the more epic parts... i think they're at the best with some of the big solo parts in white walls and before that selkies, mordecai etc..... still some really good moments in the new one though and it'l probably grow on me before too long. Still would have liked another song on there mind you!

After listening to Colors and the new one back to back, I'm glad their guitar tone isn't as fizzy as Colors...it has more definition to it.

Overall the mix is a bit muffly still, but I think that's what they're going for...
