The production and guitar tone are the best they've ever had, I think. I like the album but not listening to it nonstop or anything... I agree they are at their best during the epic solo sections like in Mordecai, Selkies, White Walls, etc.
The drumming on this cd is badass though. Blake just keeps getting better and better.
