So let's start planning for next year....

Since this seems to have devolved into an "I want this band!!!!" thread, which is something I am actually qualified to have an opinion on (sort of :) ), I'll start by saying that I refuse to stop flying the Morgana Lefay flag, even though they seem to be on hiatus right now.

Other than them:

Inmoria
Chaoswave
Fool's Game
Antithesis
Dark Arena
Jag Panzer
Kiuas
Memory Garden
Symphorce
Pharaoh
Anacrusis (if Paradox goes over well this year)

love to see these...

SEVENTH WONDER - Sweden
DELAIN - Netherlands

um... Lance... please click the following link...

As previously noted, would love to see Arjen Lucassen do something. You could consider having him blend Star One and Ayreon to basically get two "bands" and maybe even give him a longer set as a result. Assuming all the guest vocalists, it would make for a killer performance and might even cost you less money than two separate bands.

Here are my 2 Kroners...

To-Mera
Dream Evil
Dark Illusion
Heavenly
Dark Moor
Wuthering Heights
Falconer
Masterplan
Anathema
Tiamat
Dragonland
Brother Firetribe
Adagio (missed them first time through)
Axenstar
Masquerage
Triospshere
Wolf

Thanks for the insight into the process, Glenn. It's always interesting to read.

As for band, I'd love to see PATHOSRAY back again.

Not sure how they'd go over with the PP crowd, but would love to see INSOMNIUM as well.

To reiterate a few bands previously mentioned:

Seeing Equilibrium play Prog Power would be absolutely amazing
Dark Moor
Kiuas
Pathosray
Mago de Oz (I would be really surprised to see them at PP, but I can always hope)
Angra
Heavenly
Falconer
Insomnium
Therion

Other bands I would like to see:

Freedom Call
Crystal Eyes
Avalanch, Tierra Santa, WarCry, Saurom
Amorphis
Fairyland
Crimfall

I'll start by saying that I refuse to stop flying the Morgana Lefay flag, even though they seem to be on hiatus right now.

Wasn't sure if I was going to have to come in here and do it myself!

Also, I agree with Inmoria. They'd be wicked awesome to see, but I'd prefer to finally see Morgana Lefay.

In alphabetical order:
*means priority booking!

Anubis Gate
Brave
Conorach
Crown of Glory
Cryonic Temple
*Dark Moor
Echoterra
Eyefear
*Fairyland
Freedom Call
*Insania -Stockholm
Olympos Mons
Reinxeed -(if he can play live)

Glenn, I never post but I have to this one time - how about 1) Silent Memorial 2) Tomorrow's Eve (worth another shot) and 3) Serenity. This will be my 5th year in attendance, so maybe my vote will be heard!! If not, we definitely need Freak Kitchen back again. We can only go so long without FK gracing our stage. Thanks.

Gamma Ray - Saturday Headliner
Therion - Friday Headliner

Gamma Ray and Therion are my "must-haves" for next year.

I'd love to see in no particular order sooner rather than later at Progpower:

Dream Evil
Mystic Prophecy
Grave Digger
Dark Moor
Blaze Bayley
Axel Rudi Pell
Biomechanical
Falconer
Mob Rules
Masterplan
Unisonic
Scar Symmetry
Annihilator
Nevermore

Props to Lance for mentioning Delta :kickass:

OK while we are at this I might as put the ultimate "Glenn, Shane, and the rest of the crew have bottomless pockets and they make the most kick ass fest ever line-up"

Wed.
Krucible
Halcyon Way
Heavy metal quartet featuring Ralph Scheepers, Zac Stevens, Matt Barlow, and Lance King. With Freak Kitchen as a the backing band.

Thu.
Narnia
Pyramaze (all 3 vocalist)
Primal Fear
Blind Gaurdian

Fri.
Cage
Alkemyst
Sun Caged
Cain's Offering
Evergrey
Iced Earth

Sat.
Axenstar
Venturia
Dreamscape
Mercenary
Nightwish
Demons and Wizards

I think the awsomeness of this line up might actually end time itself:devil:
(oh and free bar for everyone)

Bring On Vanden Plas and Stratovarius and I am definitely there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My love affair with Stratovarius has faded over the years, and that makes me sad, they were one of the bands that got me into Power Metal. I own every album they have put out, and i can not bring myself to get Polaris. Maybe I need to see them live to fall back in love with them.

Cynic getting an hour at PP would be :OMG: Their set was way too short for the Between the Buried and Me tour. Same goes for Devin Townsend.

Totally agreed on both counts.

Besides, after Devy's "click-track" special performance here last month, he needs to come back anyway! :saint:

Who?

Okay, I looked it up and was unfamiliar with that project. But the only way I think it would be headliner-able, is if it has high profile singers to be there, and people would still be wanting to hear Ayreon material.

Which would be fine, since Star One's live set included a fair amount of Ayreon songs, too.

Unfortunately, this would cost too much for Glenn to consider. Believe me, we've been down that road. *sigh*

Not sure how they'd go over with the PP crowd, but would love to see INSOMNIUM as well.

I love their latest CD. Not sure how they'd go over, but great choice!

It is a damn crime that nobody has mentioned SABATON.

Especially after Glenn said in front of 1,000 witnesses that they would come back in a future show.

Reason: Booking Sabaton back in 2011 would violate Glenn's "no return in less than two years" rule, and most of us know his rules.

O'course, rules were meant to be broken....

Gamma Ray - Saturday Headliner
Therion - Friday Headliner

Gamma Ray and Therion are my "must-haves" for next year.

I'm fairly sure Christofer Johnsson has ruled out any "normal" return to the States for Therion any time soon..... Then again, ProgPower is far from normal. :)

They'd still cost the Moon, but damn, what a show!

As you said, ProgPower is far from normal. I think he would do it though, but this would be the ONLY way Therion would ever return to the states, which is quite sad because I'd have to say the performance I saw from them was one of the best ones I've ever seen.

Since having Epica and After Forever is what solidified my love for ProgPower USA as well as having Delain this year, I must say that my first choice would be Within Temptation, although I know that Glenn has apparently approached them in the past without much luck. But I can always hope.

Aside from them, I would love to see Serenity, Cloudscape, Freak Kitchen again (they were great both times!), Whyzdom and Nightwish.

love to see these...hopefully some others will agree and add them to their own lists after the reminder, Its loosely based on position, I didn't take a lot of time on that there would likely be some movement of that when looked at closely.
